WOMEN AT WORK
Peanut Vendor, Kanya Kumari, South India
The pilgrimage site Kanya Kumari is home to hundreds of small
vendors. This woman is selling various kinds of roasted nuts, a
popular snack throughout India. Her location, beneath a wall near
the beach and old ramparts, will be considered hers by other vendors
until the day when she fails to claim it or another vendor tries
